Project: Gulag Many Days Many Lives

About:
One of my first projects at the Center for History and New Media using Final Cut Pro where I developed a series of documentary type videos about the Soviet Gulags. Using a mixture of still images, sound effects, and camera movements to create a ken burns like video.

About:
The second set of videos that were scholarly interviews about their experience during the communist revolutions of 1989. A bit less artistic visually but a lot more complicated technically when it came to removing the green screen background as well as image placement.

A series of videos designed for k-12 teachers to learn about primary sources from academic scholars. One of the first video sets where all movement and effects were done using Motion. As well as the first video sets that were developed to have more advanced intro and ending sequences.

About:
A short documentary where we went out and asked people about there thoughts on happiness. Unfortunately, we did not have a boom mike and ended up picking up a lot of background noise. Overall, we found that people were generally happy with their lives.

A series of videos designed to show how a primary source would be taught and analyzed between various levels of academia. A mixture between personal interviews and documentary analyzes of certain sources.
